With only two days to go until the start of this year's fantastic Rewind Festival, The Live Karaoke Band are pleased to announce that both singer Andy Kyriacou and guitarist Peter J. Pinto from Modern Romance will be joining them on stage for some fun on Saturday night.

Famous for a string of top ten hits in the eighties that included "High Life", "Walking In The Rain" and, of course, "Best Years Of Our Lives", the boys have promised an extra surprise song when they play with us.

The Live Karaoke Band have got a few more aces up their sleeve, so keep checking back for more news over the next few days.

As an avid listener to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 every morning, I couldn't help but feel I knew the voice of one of the guests at the recent wedding of Hayley and Brett Akker.

It was the legend that is Jonny Saunders, the sports reporter and sidekick on the nations most popular breakfast show.  And it was with great delight and excitement that Jonny joined The Live Karaoke Band on stage to perform Delilah. I can only say that his performance was immense and he was a throughly top sport.

We managed to sneak a recording of his performance for your listening pleasure.

I managed to grab a quick word with a very tired Jonny Saunders at the end of the evening (bless, he'd been up 20 hours at least by that point!) and I have to say he was every bit the gentleman in real life that he is on the radio.

The Live Karaoke Band will be appearing at Southsea Bandstand on Sunday 8 August for a three hour show starting at 1pm.

This show is part of Portsmouth City Council's fantastic free music festival throughout summer and it will give the chance for you to sing with the band.

No matter how quickly we try and rattle through the long list of singers who want to join us on stage, there are always people who are disappointed they didn't put their name forward sooner, leaving it to the last minute.

We've therefore setup a special page on the website that will allow people to register their name and song choice in advance of the show.  These people will be chosen at random to join the band for the first part of the show, with everybody else who turns up on the day having the chance to join in afterwards.

The Live Karaoke Band is proud to announce that they have been booked to play at the world-famous Abbey Road studios at the end of summer.

The band are incredibly proud to follow in the footsteps of British legends such as Pink Floyd, Radiohead, U2, Oasis and that little known quartet from Liverpool, The Beatles.

It is planned that the gig will not only be photographed but also recorded, both audio and video.
